Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a variety of important roles in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved and make a positive impact in our school community.

Volunteers may help chaperone field trips, assist in classrooms or school buildings, and support a variety of activities such as reading with students, helping during lunch, or lending a hand at school events.

If you are interested in driving or transporting students, additional information and approval are required. Please contact your school's main office for more details.

The West Allis-West Milwaukee School District is responsible for maintaining safe environments within their schools and programs. All volunteer applications are carefully reviewed, screened, and evaluated. Confidential background screenings are required prior to being employed by, or being permitted to volunteer at the District. This is a proactive and preventative strategy that ensures individuals we allow to work with youth in our schools and programs are positive role models.

Evidence of a conviction and/or an arrest does not automatically disqualify an applicant. The District will abide by all applicable laws to ensure applicants are not discriminated against and will abide by the Fair Credit Reporting Act as applicable.
