Welcome to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District!

West Allis-West Milwaukee schools provide engaging learning experiences in classrooms where students are welcomed, challenged, and supported. Instruction is personalized, engaging, and focuses on college/career readiness and 21st century skill development. We develop school cultures where students, teachers, and families form strong relationships to support learning.

STEP ONE : Determine if you are a resident of our District by finding your neighborhood school.

STEP TWO: Complete online enrollment

STEP THREE: Gather the following documents to verify residency.

The adult resident must be present and bring:

Documents needed for a NEW ENROLLMENT:

Child’s original birth certificate is required
Picture ID (Driver’s License or Passport)
one (1) document from Column A
one (1) document from Column B

If you have these documents, it helps to bring them too:

Immunization records
Previous school information (Name, Address, Telephone)
Guardianship/Custody Documentation
Student Transcript (Grades 9-12 only)
Special Education Documents

Students are not considered enrolled and/or registered until the Proof of Residency process is complete. In accordance with Wisconsin State Statute 121.77(1) any child who physically resides in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District for a purpose other than school attendance may be considered a resident student and may be eligible for tuition-free admission. A child who resides with an adult other than his/her parent within the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District shall be deemed a resident of the district if the child establishes, to the satisfaction of the Superintendent or designee, that the primary purpose for which he/she lives in the district is for a reason other than attending a West Allis-West Milwaukee school.

STEP FOUR: Visit our Enrollment Center to complete the enrollment process.

Once all documents have been submitted to the enrollment center, it takes approximately 48 hours for the enrollment to be processed. Once the enrollment has been processed, you will receive a phone call from your student’s school informing you of the next steps.
