High School
Our High School's will provide a Project-Based Learning and Online Learning approach to Summer School in 2024 that will give students the opportunity to earn course specific credits in a student-friendly structure.
The United States Department of Education set expectations for on-track graduation and it’s important for students to graduate on time and with their class. Your student is not yet on track for graduation and/or was disengaged from school for much of last school year. As it is the expectation that all West Allis-West Milwaukee School District students be on-track for graduation, your student is required to attend Summer School for credit recovery.
Completing summer school will help your student avoid retaking classes and/or taking multiple core classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) at one time. Successful summer school participation allows students to take elective classes that they selected in early Spring. We want your student to acquire the essential knowledge and skills necessary for future success – the goal is to be college and career ready!
Each student is able to earn no more than 2.0 credits (four classes) in the summer session.
