Our current board policy, po5410, recognizes that children’s development in personal, social, physical, and educational skills varies and placement should be based on the most appropriate setting based on what the child needs to grow in these areas.
We will continue to promote students based on our board policy and recommendations. As students are ending 3rd grade, if they continue to score below the 29th percentile on the screener, we will continue to create goals based on the areas of need identified through diagnostic assessments. These goals will be monitored until the student has achieved them. We will exit a student from their personal reading plan once they score above the 29th percentile on the screener assessment.
