If you wish to acquire a Three-Year Short-Term Substitute license, please note:

A Three-Year Short-Term Substitute license may be issued to an applicant who holds an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university and who has successfully completed an approved substitute training program through CESA 1, but has not completed a state-approved educator preparation program.

The Three-Year Short-Term Substitute license can be obtained through Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Daily Regular Substitute Rate: $110

Long-Term Substitute Rate: $140

West Allis-West Milwaukee School District Retiree Daily Substitute Rate: $135
Wellness Center:
The District provides a Wellness Center located at 9333 West Lincoln Avenue in West Allis in support of employee health and wellness. Medical professionals provide a wide-range of services, perform routine lab work, and dispense commonly used prescription medications at no cost. Eligible employees are encouraged to visit the Wellness Center for episodic care (e.g., cold, flu, ear infection), physicals, minor injuries, and programs (e.g., tobacco cessation, weight management, etc.). Substitute teachers working in the District more than 60% of available days are eligible to access to the Wellness Center (self only).
