Make your elections via the benefits enrollment website between October 31 and November 18, 2022 (4:30pm).

NEW FOR 2023:

  • Change from WEA Trust to UnitedHealthcare for Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage
  • Flex Healthcare election and rollover amounts have increased
  • Change from Madison National Life to Reliance Standard for Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Employees must actively select to renew their benefits, or the currently enrolled benefits will be terminated beginning January 1, 2023.

There are no changes to providers, premiums or plans for Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurances in 2023.

2023 Benefit guide contains a comprehensive summary of all benefits options effective January 1, 2023.

Remember these changes will take effect on Jan. 1, 2023 and remain in effect through Dec. 31, 2023. Annual Open Enrollment (first two weeks in November) is the only time you are eligible to make changes unless you have a qualifying life event, such as a family or employment change.

MEDICAL – UnitedHealthcare

  • There are no changes to the deductible or out-of-pocket maximums for 2023
  • Tier 4 prescription drug copay has been removed

Call UHC 866-633-2446 (policy #929182) prior to January 1st if you have specific questions related to:
  • Procedures scheduled after January 1st
  • Prior Authorization
  • Transferring durable medical equipment suppliers
After January 1st, contact UHC using the information supplied on your id card. 


  • Health Care FSA
    • Maximum Election increased to $3,050/year
    • Rollover increased to $610
  • Dependent Care FSA 
    • Maximum Election $5,000/year 


  • Voluntary Short-Term Disability premiums have decreased
  • Benefit amount: $147 through $1,500, not to exceed 66 2/3% of covered earnings
  • Maximum benefit duration 9 weeks (6 weeks natural birth, 8 weeks cesarean delivery)
  • Pre-Existing Condition Limitation: 12 / 12 (current enrollment count towards 12-month period)
  • No Medical Underwriting Requirement!


  • District paid benefit
  • Employees working 20 hours per week (excluding limited term employment)
  • Benefits match the current 2022 plan design:
    • Benefits begin after 60 days of disability
    • Benefit amount is 66 2/3% of monthly earnings
  • Maximum monthly benefit of $10,278
  • Maximum benefit duration to Social Security Normal Retirement Age
  • Pre-existing condition limitation 3 /12
