Celebrating Books Featuring Our Leaders

We wanted to highlight two authors in our leadership community here at WAWM.

This September, our very own Director of Leadership and Learning published a chapter in Because of a Teacher titled “The Power of a Caring Teacher Can Be Felt for a Lifetime” about her dad and the experience of being raised by a great educator.

In Because of a Teacher, more than fifteen of today’s leading educators remember the teachers and administrators who inspired and supported their careers. Through a series of heartfelt and uplifting stories, they reflect on their early years teaching, offering advice and strategies suited to first-year teachers and longtime educators alike.
These personal stories offer hope for new teachers, encouragement for educators tiptoeing into burnout, and reassurance that the work you’re doing right now will inspire generations to come.

Last September, Greg and Gary Goelz, joined forces to write their book entitled, “What’s In Your CORE? An Educator’s Guide to Plugging Into Purpose and Perspective” which was released in September.  They wrote it for every K-12 educator and leader in hopes that it will encourage them to feel more fulfilled in their jobs by returning to their purpose, which they refer to as their CORE (Calling Or Reason in Education).

Congratulations to these two leaders!
